Let's have a look at this year's Autumn-Winter 2013-2014 collection of women's ready to wear outfits from the well known label Veronica Beard. The sisters-in-law Veronica Miele and Veronica Swanson Beard took inspiration from the Western and cowboy wear. As you all know, the label's DNA is jacket and outerwear, that's why we see amazing layers, like iconic and signature jackets, plaid field jackets, astrakhan wool car coats, herringbone jackets, oversized raccoon vest and many other layers. The brand was inspired by the wild west in its winter collection, that's why we see cowgirl staples in these looks, featuring rough denim, bandana print shirtdress, tapered pants, leather chaps, button-ups etc.
I personally love that preppy but urban touch which can felt in each of the showcased separates, but my favorites are buffalo plaid field coats, flared trousers, dickey jackets and gypsy gowns layered with fur vests. We can feel the spirit of American sportswear, as model poses in masculine versus feminine looks. It looks like this collection is made for adventurous and modern woman who is self confident and who's not afraid to express her style.
