Okay, girls and ladies, I've got something special for you tonight! I want you to meet I Waited For You… (IWFY) fashion brand and its Autumn 2015 season collection entitled “THE FUNERAL.” Designers Charleston Pacius and Melanese Reid behind the brand were inspired by the elements of love and death (a strong inspiration, by the way).
We see a pale grey-blue and black cape-coat styled with pretty black trousers. An ideal choice for an elegant walk in the city center.
The brand pulled from many sources such as Corinna Spencer (Dressed Series), Konstantin Makovsky (Widow), Ellis Willson (Funeral) and imagery from Victorian mourning dresses. To convey an emotion of loss of love from death designers used fabrications that would reflect such mood: Black Velvet, Black and White Jacquard, Black/ Ivory Satin, Brocade, Italian Wool, Black Leather, and Crepes. Personally, I felt in love with that sophisticated fabrics mixture appearing in garments. The silhouettes tell a story of a female mourning from a loss, but who still wants to bid farewell to her love with class, elegance, and modesty. Issa Lish, Anh Duong, Gwyneth Paltrow, Patricia Clarkson, Vanessa Traina Snow, Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan and Naomie Harris were used as muses in this Winter 2015-2016 season. All these women hold a stylish gracefulness, beauty and a deep vulnerability that was an additional source to collection.
This pale grey-blue belted trench-coat with black details looks chic and sophisticated. This is an ideal outerwear to wear from work to parties.
If you are looking for functional and easy-to-wear basics, then I suggest you to take a closer look at this dark navy long-sleeve top paired with deep-blue trousers. An ideal outfit for work and short trips.
