The Single Girl Revolution. Fashion brand Ukulele was inspired by Single Girl idea in its Fall-Winter collection. The idea of Single Girl was introduced by Helen Gurly Brown in the 1960's. The main idea of this trend was about girl who believed to in achieving something independently before marriage, these girls were not financially stable, however they set trends through their grace and independence and most importantly through the way they would put outfits together with the clothes they could afford.
This Fall collection has taken inspiration from the iconic silhouettes of the Single Girls over the last few decades such as Helen Gurly Brown herself, Nico from the Velvet Underground, Madonna, Spice Girls, Courtney Love, Joan from Made Men. Thanks to experimentations with unexpeceted combinations of luxury future fabrics incorporated into uniquely designed on-trend silhouettes Ukulele created statement pieces, that include sheer blouses, sequined sleeveless black cocktail dresses, evening lace dresses, military inspired trench coats, knitted sweaters and boho chic inspired outfits.
