Marcia Patmos behind M.Patmos was inspired by 30's and 40's gangsters wear, as well as artisanal textiles from Madagascar and Bolivia, and “The Art of Japanese Joinery,” written by Kiyosi Seike (the book is about wood joints). The pre-collection has so many references, but the line is pulled together carefully, so we see slouchy menswear outfits including pinstripe suits, as well as robe coats, signature layered knits, including chunky cashmere fisherman's sweaters, wool sweatshirts with leather pocket details and many other interesting essentials.
