Roksanda Ilincic Spring-Summer 2014 collection features bright womenswear looks inspired by Neo-Concretism. You are about to see the key themes of the Brazilian art movement, demonstrating some touches of Hélio Oiticica paintings. Models steeped out on the runway wearing bonded neoprene structured jackets, stripy silk dresses, single-shouldered dresses, oriental shaped jackets with curved shoulders, 3/4 length wide-legged trousers, tailored, form-fitting dresses, wooden heel Mary Janes and patent flats. The presented looks are based on abstraction and bright colors, with a statement caricature of 1970's inspired futurism. We see real splashes of colors, including neon yellow, blue, orange, canary yellow, purple, canary yellow, gray and pink.
I love those geometric patterns, like distorted Cubist triangles and laser cut patterns. All in all, it feels like we have attended a parallel fashion universe where are presented straightforward, futuristic and fresh looks.
