Richard Chai gives us a polished mix of boy-meets-girl show in the latest Autumn-Winter collection. We see relaxed and casual downtown basics with kind of 1960's inspired motifs. The show features leather outerwear (in collaboration with Andrew Marc), plaid looks, grunge-inflected murky colors and slouchy tailoring, tartan tomboy touches and a bit of romanticism. Models appeared in cutaway blazers, moto-ready cropped leather jackets, oversize plaid wrap coats, half-leather, half-plaid toggle coats, tailored camel blazers, mini biker jackets, festive sequined black sparkling drop pants. Designer managed to balance modern tailoring and youthful street aesthetic in menswear line, as we see monochromatic and simple looks, like three-button blazers, tweed sweatpants and sharp top coats.
