Abstract Urbanwear. Riccardo Tisci was inspired by his Italian childhood in the 1970’s and the work of designer Walter Albini and Milanese architect Giò Ponti in the latest Givenchy’s Autumn-Winter pre-collection of womenswear. The looks were done in white, light brown and black.
Models appeared in hyper-masculine designs with sharp angles with geometric patch-working and color-blocking silhouettes. Here you will find printed sweatshirts, skirts over pants, button-downs, evening one-sleeve long dresses, flat shoes, athletic sandals, wood and metal heel detail ankle boots, HDG (House de Givenchy) handbags, structured top-handle bags. Love the asymmetry of Tisci’s silhouettes and beauty of the neoclassic ruffles. All in all, it’s less formal collection than the previous, Spring one.
