Nepalese designer Prabal Gurung revealed his latest Autumn-Winter collection's runway show during New York Fashion Week. The next cold season comes with urban chic and tribal influences, as Gurung was inspired by traditional culture of Himalayas, Mustang (former kingdom and now a republic). The show featured knit sweaters, Swarovski crystal gowns, cable sweaters, draped chiffon skirts, tailored jackets, cocktail dresses, deconstructed and draped pantsuits and Mongolian lamb coats. The color palette features real autumn hues, including marmalade orange, crimson, black, burgundy, red and gray touches. The autumn season comes with ease and a bit aggressive notes take on feminine allure. I personally find the emphasis on sportswear in Gurung creations. Love those ensembles embellished with mosaic crystals and ostrich feathers.
