Irish designer Orla Kiely offers us ready to wear commercial garments for the next Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 season. She was inspired by Catherine Deneuve in French musical film Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (1964 film “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”). Her creations are charming and preppy retro inspired. We see beautiful trenches printed with dogs and cats, wool outerwear with oversize buttons, bright pink wool bobbled sweaters, shiny belted raincoats, tunic dresses with macro geometric florals etc. The real standout of the show was accessories and footwear line. The shoes featured British brand Clarks creations including chunky, platform T-bar sandals with flower-and-stem details and mid-heel Mary Janes. The accessories line features statement umbrellas, puppy and kitten motif purses. I personally like that kind of girlish retro approach.
The floral printed dress matches cream mohair coats.
This red sweater is a real must have of the next fall season
A belted shirtdress.
Double breasted pale blue coat.
How about wearing this impressive short sleeve sheath dress in floral prints.
That's a pretty belted trench.
Indeed, that's an impressive presentation, which is inspired by the retro vibes and timeless looks.
