Carol Lim and Humberto Leon behind Opening Ceremony presented new Autumn-Winter 2015-2016 season's collection of women's ready to wear garments. Their muse for fall season was director, prolific photographer, and now regular OC collaborator Spike Jonze. The label's duo had full access to the director's archive, which mainly consisted of chronicles the rise and evolution of BMX racing, skateboard subculture and early Sonic Youth tours. The prints which appear in the clothes were drawn from a wall collage on display in the gallery.
Camel colored coat is worn atop asymmetric knitted sweater and styled with black culottes and glossy boots embellished with front zip-ups.
Models appear in zip-up jackets, belted shearling styles, men’s trenches, cropped flares, boxy cargo pants, utility jackets worn with midiskirts, sweatshirt and T-shirts emblazoned with the Kodak film logo. Speaking of accessories, then you are going to find here awesome platform oxfords, boots, and pumps with stacked heels and zip-up details, while the bags line includes Helix cross-body bags, mini duffle bags, and cirle-handled totes. The women's apparel has an obvious skate culture influence, mainly because of the oversized fit. I am in love with collection's color and print accents, like marble leather, tiger-flocked suede, and zebra-printed pony hair.
