Endless summer. Oskar Metsavaht behind Brazilian fashion label Osklen titled his latest spring-summer collection as ‘endless summer’. It’s about lazy summer days, when you don’t have anything to do, just spending the whole day at the beach. Oskar was inspired by California surf culture and the Brazilian soul of Ipanema.
Love the sleek and sophisticated feel of the silhouettes. Just before NYFW at Lincoln Center, Osklen’s collection was presented at São Paulo fashion week, it means that Oskar is ready for the next market and it’s Americans to be to see Brazilian style. Models appeared in silk pants, formfitting crop tops, transparent organza tops printed with colorful beach landscapes, linen jumpsuits, neoprene dresses, “silk straw” capes, skinny neoprene pants, striped tuncis. I’d say it’s about the dynamism of the metropolis and the exuberance of brazilian nature, where urban and nature find harmony.
