New York Fashion Week: Brood Spring-Summer Ready-To-Wear

The German-born, Turkish-Bosnian designer Serkan Sarier behind Brood presented a loud Spring-Summer collection of women’s clothing. New season comes with botanical rose prints, which were inspired thanks to 20th century, from 1940’s, 1960’s. Serkan’s spring collection is bold and big with a real explosion of wallpaper prints and colored lace. Love his color palette: limoncello, pink, vermilion, fuchsia, red color blocked looks. Models appeared in athletic-meets-couture silhouettes. Models sported floor sweeping dresses, mint green frocks with floral pockets, drop-shoulder, nipped-waist jackets, flouncy yellow frocks. All in all, it was an optimistic collection.
