Band Of Outsiders presented its Spring-Summer during New York Fashion Week. This season’s main inspiration was from Peter Weir’s 1975 film Picnic at Hanging Rock (a story about the disappearance of a group of schoolgirls on Valentine’s Day in 1900). Models appeared on the catwalk, wearing black boat hats, crisp white cotton poplin shirtdresses, navy wool coat-dresses, striped linen overalls, full apron skirts, quilted jackets in a micro-floral prints, double-breasted coats, barn coats, sharp cutaway trenchcoats, military coats, embroidered romantic white cotton dresses with spaghetti straps, strapless georgette dresses, one-shouldered silk and tulle frocks. Some models were looking like real schoolgirl chics in box-pleated skirts, neat blouses— urban patent leather anoraks and cool skirts. Overall, I might say the collection dividend in Girl clothes and Boylike clothing.
