Mugler's creative director, Nicola Formichetti shared with us "an idea of time travel, in style," as he presented beautiful fashion forward Fall-Winter women's ready to wear collection earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week. So, this fall season comes with volume, texture and play with draping. Models appeared in futuristic pieces, stunning strapless gowns, skirtsuit looks, sculptural mini dresses, voluminous turtlenecks, light purple skirt suits. Designer comes with 1960's, 1950's, 1990's vibes and the idea of the future viewed from the past.
I personally felt in love with aerodynamic spin on shapes and those curvilinear silhouettes which are inspired by futurism of Oscar Niemeyer's architecture. All in all, Mugler's ready to wear season is sophisticated, full of new forms and polished looks.
