Milan Fashion Week: Prada Spring-Summer 2014 RTW

Miuccia Prada behind Prada showcased new spring-summer 2014 ready to wear runway show which was all about femininity and feminism in one collection. Collection features women’s portraits (painted faces) which accessorized many coats, skirts and dresses. All the work was done by artists including Mesa, Gabriel Specter and Jeanne Detallante. Collection was full of textures, colors and artwork.

Prada offers kind of interesting and unique approach, as it showcases built-in bra shapes on knitwear dresses. Models appeared in street sport style wearing bags with pop art inspired motifs which were ladylike, striped leg warmers and multi-colored sandals. As Prada says: "There is a necessity to be strong, visible, fighters..." I personally like those big, bold, colorful faces on dresses, coats and skirts. So, new spring season comes with printed faces, fur intarsias, demonstrative embroideries, colorblocking and sophisticated cuts.
