Please welcome this outstanding Dutch-born designer Michael van der Ham Spring-Summer 2014 collection's runway show, which featured traditional African wrapping references, rich textures and signature patchwork. You are about to see grown-up and polished looks, like A-line shifts, signature cocktail dresses, embellished looks, navy dresses and evening gowns. Designer was inspired by Jackie Nickerson's book Farm, a photographic essay of Africans dressed in exotic fabrics. I love his signature contrasting textures, fabrics and patterns that gave us kaleidoscopic collage effects. You are about to view delicate silk draping, embroidered brocades, printed textiles, glamor touches, bejeweled embellishments, zebra prints, leopard, lime, coral, as well as monochrome palette.
