Singapore-based avant-garde brand Max.Tan presents new Autumn 2015 season lookbook under the name “XY.” It's a charming women's collection with expressive power. XY is not a conformation, but a seamless flow between opposites. The XY stands for male chromosomes, but as you know, male's chromosome consists half the genetic make up of a female (XX). The Winter 2015-2016 collection explores the neutrality of the traditional notion of women's and men's wear.
You are going to find perfect combinations of floating handkerchief cuts with strict skirts, masculine fabrics and collapsing silhouettes. I am charmed by the balance of this collection. We see classic tailoring integrated with deconstructed draping and avant-garde details. I wouldn't define these looks to be menswear or womenswear inspired. It's somewhere between. I think every lady will love designer's experimentation with draping and shapes.
We see a cable-knit black turtleneck tucked in high-rise midi blue skirt.
An ideal robe cape for cocktail parties and evening events.
The layered black cape is worn atop checkered top. I like the relaxed fit of this outfit.
That's my favorite checkered poncho. Love the layered look:
Say hello to your boyfriends wardrobe. We see dark grey short-sleeve button-down tucked in matching color ankle-length wide trousers.
Black overalls with wide pants are worn with turtleneck sweater.
Ribbed knit chunky cape is worn atop matching loose-fit sweater paired with black straight fit skirt.
This layered look is a perfect choice for making a statement in the streets.
This grey ribbed knit sweater looks great styled with matching ribbed knit grey drop-crotch pants worn with glossy black leather ankle-boots:
A furry white jacket looks terrific worn atop white dress. I love the contrast what is created thanks to black tights and flat glossy black ankle-boots:
This is my favorite outfit! I am in love with ivory maxi coat. It looks sophisticated and comfy.
