Helsinki-based design house ONAR established by Irene Kostas reveals its Autumn season collection (ONAR III). Designer imagined the situation, where Kazimir Malevich is introduced to 8 bit home computer Commodore 64. We are going to see minimalist shearling accessories, knitwear, bags, statement coats and luxe bombers. I am in love with collection's color palette, what includes soft yellow, pure red, blue hues borrowed from supermatist artist. The color block patterns were inspired by the pixelated shapes of early Tetris video games.
The brand's name ONAR means “dream” in ancient Greek. Irene Kostas is specialized in high-quality shearling clothes and accessories, leather bags and knitwear. I love the way soft materials meet geometric forms, as well as richness of texture meets minimalism. All garments are handmade in Finland and in Northern Greece. Kostas uses 100% vegetable tanned leather.
