There is something festive, artful, bright and impressive about Chanel Spring-Summer 2014 collection which was showcased during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. Indeed, I have that feeling, as the Contemporary Art meets fashion. So, the inspiration of the next warm season is taken from the antique German paintings and sculptures. Well done, Karl Lagerfeld, as he incorporated the idea of fashion as art, so we have pleasure to see splash of colors in those brand's signature tweed skirt suits. Love the color palette of black, white, neon pink, white, violet, black. Every piece looks easy wearable, just take a look at these wide-legged leather trousers, silk dresses and full-skirted dresses, it looks so practical to me.
My personal favorites from the show are sleeveless tabard coat, colroful miniskirts, large and mid size bags that feature Chanel logos “painted” on. All in all, spring collection from Chanel is powerful, colorful and creative.
