Rugged Queen of Scots. Karl Lagerfeld showcased Chanel’s new pre-Autumn collection of womenswear. It’s the idea of mixing modern luxury sportswear with 16th and 17th centuries. New pre-season will consist of cardigans, knits, tweeds and menswear inspired looks, as Lagerfeld called it "Barbarian romance." For the cold weather designer offers us haute workmanship and chic enveloping knits, robust tweeds, checks and tartans.
Love the way how Lagerfield played with iconic Scottish styles: kilt, which was transformed into peplum jackets, evening skirts and coats. Models appeared in impressive ease garments, swingy jackets, chiffon and lace drop-waisted kilt-pleated coats, slope-shouldered tweed jackets, feathered hats, flowing scarves, patterned tights, chain-handled carriers in quilted leather (cases for the new iPad mini), love these final looks white wool gowns with lace and feathers.
