Sharpened Vintage Looking Tomboy Outfits In Maiyet Resort

Maiyet Vintage Girl is back in New York. The recent resort collection from Maiyet comes with sharpened tomboyish looks. Pre-spring key motif is a bird of paradise, what is a strong flower. Brand's creative director Declan Kearney offers workwear-inspired tailoring, including velvet jackets, school blazer and culottes sets, mannish outerwear and suiting. Personally, I like the artisanal touches what are created thanks to shibori scarves, Indian thread embroidery, Bolivian hand-crocheted details, and sophisticated finishings. Another thing what made me crazy about this line-up is the mix of bohemian touches with military references. The cruise collection comes with so many interesting details and fabrics use, including soft suede, bouclé, hammered satin, floral prints, artisan details, etc. All in all, it's a stylish New York downtown girl's wardrobe what is full of beautiful and ethnic styles with military and boho references.

Laidback Mannish Elegance In Maiyet Pre-Fall Collection

Please welcome laidback mannish elegance in the latest Autumn-Winter pre-collection from Maiyet fashion brand. Label's designer Kristy Caylor was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s muse, Emilie Flöge (fashion designer). I think most of Maiyet garments texture, embroidery and knitwear were inspired exactly by impressive Gustav Klimt portraits. Speaking of clothes silhouettes, then it's simple and highly commercial. There was another muse for Kristy Caylor and it was Malik Sidibé, who is famous for his Bamako portraits of the 1960s. There are two key silhouettes, where the first one is culotte-like cropped trousers and the other one is the sheath, looking like a tunic. We see angular beading, diamond-patterned cotton, fine-gauge cashmere, and and fringed, multicolored tweeds. I personally see the kind of bohemian, sophisticated vibe that gives an urbane edge.

Maiyet Autumn-Winter Boho Chic Touch

For this Winter season Maiyet was inspired by Ghandi's quote: «Be the change you want to see in the world.» Label's creative director Gabriella Zanzani and cofounder Kristy Caylor offer sophisticated and attractive ready to wear women's looks which are mainly inspired by a journey through the Himalayas. Models walked down the catwalk wearing motorcycle jackets, oversize parkas, parkas with bold, rounded shoulders and voluminous sleeves, loose skirts, dégradé knit sweaters, baggy pants, ladylike bags, clutches, knee-high boots and fine jewelry line. I love that kaleidoscope of rich reds, silks, jacquards, subtly printed fabrics that give kind of native costumes boho chic looks.
