Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos behind Peter Pilotto showcased hourglass silhouette looks in the latest Spring-Summer women's ready to wear collection which was presented during London Fashion Week. Models sported printed pencil skirts, sculpted full skirts, cut-out tops and dresses, boxy and boyish shirts,skin-baring tops, cropped jackets. The key references this time was L.A. based ceramic artist Ken Price, who created surreal and two-dimensional landscape images. As you can see from the images below this inspiration gave designers really impressive and intriguing prints and embroideries. Love those variegated colors and sculptural silhouettes.

David Koma presented new Spring-Summer women's ready to wear collection during London Fashion Week which was inspired by Japanese samurai. New season is focused on structured outings, geometric shapes and strict lines. The warrior-like ensembles come with graceful elegance and slightly sporty attitude, I personally like those color-blocking elements in white, black, white deep blue and powder blue shades. My personal favorites from the catwalk show are A-line skirts, dresses with triangular inserts, black and nude pleated skater skirts, short jersey dresses, peg-leg trousers, loose leather jackets. By the way, those fitted silhouette pieces look elegant and sensual.
Daks creative director Filippo Scuff presented new spring-summer women's ready to wear collection during London Fashion Week which was mainly focused on daytime and lightweight looks which are "romantic", "sophisticated" and "metropolitan". I personally like that touch of conservatism, classics and edgy appearance. Models sported check print ladylike separates like tartan pants, dramatic capes, strapless tops, maxi-length dresses, minimal silhouette black gowns, leather trenches, cool separates with leather belts nipped at the waist, pleated leather skirts, black capri pants, plunging back jumper dresses, gorgeous raincoats, floaty sheer capes, strappy black sandals,. I like that conservative approach which offers classics and clean sportswear.
Roksanda Ilincic presented her Autumn-Winter women's ready to wear collection during London Fashion Week which was domestic and downbeat. I personally like everything in this collection, starting with her architect very pure, gracious, and simple structural shapes to the girlish colors like soft pinks, mints, and peaches which were balanced with dark chocolate brown, vivid green and technically treated fabrics like laminated wool, coated lace and PVC. Here you will find standout pink pieces, shimmering duchesse-satin dresses, elegant cut coats, full skirts, pointy shoes and the pointy bags.
Let's take a look back at London Fashion Week and see Dutch designer Michael van der Ham's Fall-Winter collection's runway show. The main inspiration for autumn season was "tough girl—moody and dark," meaning that designer created not a sweet and light version of his women's ensembles, yet darker and vampire alike look. Models appeared on the catwalk wearing boxy coats, printed blouses, black and white gown with a hammered-metal appliqué, cashmere tops, coats with sculpted cutouts, Christian Louboutin's patent-leather shoes. All in all, new Michael van der Ham collection is about feminine silhouette and luxe fabrics.
Let's take a look at the sportiness feel in the latest Mother of Pearl Fall-Winter collection's lookbook. Label's creative director and Californian surfer girls Maia Norman has always been inspired by works of artists and this time she chose Polly Morgan's surrealist taxidemy creations. Love the sophistication of each outfit. Here you will find printed silk shirts, little silk tanks with elasticized waists, patio pants in silk georgette, white piqué blouses, marine-striped tops and athletic footwear like classic rubber-soled slip-ons. My favorite look is sleeveless peplumed top over pencil skirt, it looks dressy yet casual.
Standout Sportswear. Christopher Shannon showcased his new Autumn-Winter menswear collection during London Fashion Week. Christopher offers stripes, paneling, sophisticated color blocking and leather standouts. My favorites of the new season are bomber jackets, jeans, knitted sweaters, cartoon half faces on sweaters, jackets with vertical stripe color blocking, sweatshirts, over-washed and faded denims.
