Let's have a look at this feminine, sophisticated and retro inspired Holly Fulton Autumn-Winter collection of women's demure clothing. Fulton was inspired by the technology which was showcased in Dziga Vertov’s 1929 film “Man With A Movie Camera,” as well as Fritz Lang’s movie “Metropolis.” Here are presented baby blue coats with printed calculators and digital gadgetry, below the knee dresses and coats, Lurex intarsia sweaters, tailored topcoats, drop-waist dresses, pleated kilts, miniature embellished handbags and optical glasses. The color palette includes soft blue, caramel, camel, taupe, mink and cream. Holly Fulton is no minimalist and she delivers us eye-catching hand patterns, flowers, lightning bolts, geometric shapes and printed giant retro cell phones. Designer gives us her version of a working girl, who loves ornamentation. That's what I call ladylike allure, which is full of mechanic and technological prints.
It's fresh, colorful, youthful and bright...indeed, these words come in my mind when I see Holly Fulton Spring-Summer collection. The spring collection was inspired by the pop star Noosha Fox, of the U.K.-based band Fox. I feel the 1970's vibe in these powdery, eye-popping geometric, fish and flowery prints. Models appeared on the catwalk wearing side-swept hair, print embroidered dresses, denim pinafores, short, boxy jackets, elasticized-waist "track" pants, black and white boned dresses, and blouses. My personal favorites from the show are designer's accessories, that will go perfect absolutely with anything: necklaces, fan-shaped handbags and orchid-detailed chokers.
Holly Fulton Autumn-Winter collection's runway show was about eclectic prints, fun and feminine looks. Fulton showcased more-si-more prints and I honestly like her for such offerings, as she doesn't afraid to use architectural and geometric prints, bold combinations, like windowpane print blouse teamed with pencil skirt printed with hearts or geometric cubes combined with a photo-realistic tiger. As you can see, there are lots of amazing outfits with eye-catching details. Models appeared in knife-pleated leather dresses, amazing skirts, fuzzy sweaters with jeweled necks, floor-length silk skirts, fun statement jackets, pencil skirts with gigantic lipstick tubes.
Let’s go to Mexico beaches! Feels like Holly Fulton is going to the beaches of Mexico next Spring-Summer season. New collection consists of 1950’s and 1960’s skateboarder Patti McGee inspired looks, which are both relaxed and laidback with easy separates. Models wear lemon, blue and bubblegum pink day dresses, raffia skirts, tailored 1950’s style jackets and cropped trousers and lots of looks are competed with rose appliqué. Overall, this collection is a beautiful piece of art.
