Danielle Sherman behind Edun was inspired by three distinct influences in her recent resort collection. The pre-spring line-up includes touches of 1950's Britain subculture - the Teddy Boys, the brightly suited dandy sapeurs of sub-Saharan Africa, and Coco Chanel personal style in the 1920s. Indeed, every inspiration seem so different, but each one of them influenced a movement. Teddy Boys influence was seen via sharply tailored suits, leather shift dresses, cable knit sweaters embellished with studs and D-rings. The Congolese dandies wardrobe style is seen via bright pink colored suits and Chanel style can be found in beautiful double-breasted jackets, pleated, Twenties-style skirts and dresses. Personally, I like that kind of boyish touch of the showcased relaxed separates.
That's a stunning leopard print belted coat with black leather details. Love the way it's styled with black socks and monochrome loafers.
