DORIS Q shared with us its Autumn collection entitled ‘In and out of Love.’ This season was inspired by Damien Hirst’s solo show in London, where paintings were displayed with live butterflies, and flowers and sugar water enabled the butterflies to fly, mate and lay eggs until they died. The butterflies print was reinterpreted into stripes and camouflage prints, knitted stripes and laser-cut embellishments. The showcased embellishments in the forms of ruffles and curved lines are representations of the movement of butterflies gracefulness. Overall, collection looks strong, bold and structured.
Doris Qiu, an Australian Chinese raised in Sydney, Australia presents her latest "Young Gothic" Fall-Winter collection's lookbook of women's clothing. The brand comes with relaxed and loose-fit silhouettes and street style touch. I personally feel kind of boyish appearance in those sport style apparel. I personally like that see-through effect which features almost every piece in this collection. As for me, Doris Q offers quite dark color palette, which is too grunge for me, anyway, there is something sophisticated in her creations, which is kind of couture mixed with ready-to-wear looks.
