Josep Font’s latest beautiful fall-winter ready to wear collection was inspired by retro-futuristic atmosphere of “Logan’s Run” novel and the colors of Italian artist Duilio Barnabé works. I simply felt in love with Font's ability to mix together ready-to-wear and couture pieces. Madrid-based Delpozo brand comes with relaxed and unattached to the body silhouettes with geometric appeal, feminine and powerful touches. The show featured standout overcoats, gauzy mohair dresses, sculpted A-line silhouette dresses, separates, pointed shoulder maxi capes, zip jackets, mohair sweaters, fuzzy mohair capes, pleated evening embroidered shirtdresses and structured petticoats. As you already noticed, the autumn season features contrasting themes, mixing structured with fluid and strong with ethereal.
During New York Fashion Week Delpozo showcased its Spring-Summer collection's runway show. The Spanish based label offers romantic touches which are inspired by the glass windows of cathedrals and a painting called 'Gypsy Woman with Tambourine' by Corot. Label's creative director Josep Font offers floral prints, geometric effects, voluminous shapes, frills and pastel colors. Models appeared in voluminous frocks decked out in floral prints, matador-inspired trousers, ball skirts, relaxed gingham top, raffia skirts, cap-sleeve linen jackets and modern wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline. I like that balance of traditional elements that are mixed with innovative cuts, offering us unexpected volumes with intricate embellishments.
Fresh and Evening. Madrid based fashion brand Delpozo brought fresh designs for the next Autumn-Winter season. Label's creative director Josep Font was inspired by the femininity of the Victorian era and organic architecture. Take a closer look at these amazing color combinations, like burgundy, fuchsia, green and cinnamon. Models appeared in voluminous jackets, tops, beautiful, white floral appliquéd dress, two-toned nude and vermilion dresses, round-shouldered jackets.
