British brand Daks celebrates its 120th anniversary by showing us its Autumn-Winter collection's runway show, the show looks appealing, youthful and modern. Creative director Filippo Scuffi shows us amazing clothing combinations, starting with knitwear dress to military references. You are about to see outstanding outerwear pieces, like men's leather jackets, military long coats, turtleneck capes, women's short fur jackets, checkered fur vests, belted dresses, cinched waist wrap around skirts, floor length knitwear, second-skin double-face cashmere dresses, knitted ballgown, as well as leather opera gloves. That's an impressive collection with opulent fabrics and sophisticated silhouettes. All in all, I personally have kind of retro-futuristic feel while viewing these runway images.
Daks creative director Filippo Scuff presented new spring-summer women's ready to wear collection during London Fashion Week which was mainly focused on daytime and lightweight looks which are "romantic", "sophisticated" and "metropolitan". I personally like that touch of conservatism, classics and edgy appearance. Models sported check print ladylike separates like tartan pants, dramatic capes, strapless tops, maxi-length dresses, minimal silhouette black gowns, leather trenches, cool separates with leather belts nipped at the waist, pleated leather skirts, black capri pants, plunging back jumper dresses, gorgeous raincoats, floaty sheer capes, strappy black sandals,. I like that conservative approach which offers classics and clean sportswear.
Womenswear designer Sheila McKain-Waid behind Daks presented a sporty spin on classic silhouettes in the latest Fall-Winter collection, which was inspired by timeless style icon English actress Charlotte Rampling, who likes to dress like men. Collection's main theme was slouchy tailoring yet there were elements of fishermen and brand's signature checks. I felt like Daks has thrown us back into Britain 1970's years. Models appeared on the catwalk wearing very understated outfits, including glimmering green cropped vests, cropped jackets with doubled lapels, elegant twisted wool flannel jumpsuits, wader-style woolen shorts, fine knit polos and minimalist floor length gowns.
Daks offers tailored looks and smart elegance in its men's spring-summer season's runway show. Creative director Filippo Scuffi presented sophisticated modern classics during the Milan Fashion Week. British style came along with military touch and thanks to this mix we have chance to see interesting creations. Male models appeared in trench coats, 1930's inspired cream double-breasted sweater jackets, high-waist trousers and knitwear. The color palette consisted of dove gray, white and sage.
Modernized 1970's Groove. Daks presented its cool confident menswear collection during Milan Fashion Week for the next Autumn-Winter season. Daks' man comes from 1970's with modernized layered, strong wardrobe in a great number of finishes. Male models appeared in chunky knits, rich prints, classic colors and semi-structured outerwear in velvet, satin, leather fabrics. My favorites are those long and heavy scarves (remind me one that Lenny was wearing), quilted pants, checked trousers, scarves and caps. All in all, Daks once again evokes British Heritage, style and elegance.
From Retro to Modern. Daks presented its spring-summer collection during Milan Fashion Week. As you already noticed, Daks used smart, iconic formal style to modify it into a modern wear. Models appeared in sharp wardrobe, wearing bow ties, top hats, cummerbunds, streamlined double-breasted jackets, trench coat in vibrant colors, like orange and bold patterns, sleek shorts and accessories, like bags and thick-rimmed glasses. Altogether, collection is about modern man with classic and sophisticated gentleman's fit.
English label Daks presents its autumn-winter collection starring male models Jeremy Young and Laurent Albucher, both dressed in casual and business outing. Daks offers the modern silhouette with an ease: pleated trousers, double-breasted blazers, cozy knits.
Autumn Elegance. Canadian model Alana Zimmer is an elegant business lady in the Autumn-Winter campaign from British label, Daks. I would say there is a big influence of retro style very smart looks. Alana wears striking cozy clothing for freezy days.
