Anna Sui revealed her playful and opulent fall collection of women's and a few of men's looks, which was inspired by Asia travels, Anna May Wong - the first Chinese-American movie star and the British musical comedy “Chu Chin Chow.” Models appeared on the catwalk wearing Mongolian lamb fur coats, knitted cardigans, tweed jackets, embroidered boho inspired silk pajamas, fringed scarves and Art Deco-inspired colorful boots, while the men's line included embroidered tuxedo jackets, ruffle shirts, pajama pants, bathrobes and cool jackets. Everything looks rich and glamor, you are about to see here vibrant colors, prints, 1920's inspired Art Deco silhouettes and details.
Please welcome Anna Sui x Minnie Mouse Holiday make up collection. Here are presented Anna Sui x Minnie Mouse Makeup kits, beautiful Nail Colors, products to accentuate eyes, body balms, hand creams and lip balms. Anna Sui revealed her Spring-Summer Ready To Wear women's collection during New York Fashion Week. Designer was inspired by the recent Pre-Raphaelite exhibition at the Tate Modern (London). Here you will see copper wallpaper prints and sienna nouveau florals. That's a true bohemian style collection, as Anna Sui sent ultra-feminine looks on the catwalk. Models appeared in easy silhouette tops and dresses, watercolor-washed taffeta jackets, indigo jacquard cross-over tops, drawstring pants, embellished gladiator sandals, butterfly sunglasses, mammoth beaded necklaces. It's casual glamour collection.
For the next resort season Anna Sui presented her signature sweet, cute silhouette ruffle-trimmed dresses and conversational prints, like cats, elephants, envelopes and hearts. Anna Sui kept her color palette cool, including black, purple, cream and gray. Here are shown different style dresses, beachwear designs, separates and boho chic inspired looks. My favorite pieces are those loose fitted boho inspired dresses and beachwear outfits.
Anna Sui described her new Autumn-Winter ready to wear collection as "French New Wave. Godard. Anna Karina." Her designs evoke the best moments of retro style with colorful and playful touch, just take a quick look at these rich colors of black, white, red and blue. Models appeared in 1960's style coats, faux fur jackets, striped and printed frocks, graphic, A-line dresses, patterned sweaters, beaded neckties, collared shirts, lightweight sweater dresses, skirts, waistcoats, matching knee socks. What I find really exciting is Sui's creatons is the love to the details: knee-socks, boy-watcher sunglasses, colored tights and loafers. All in all, it's about nostalgia.
Printed Season. Anna Sui was inspired by the works of French interior-decorating legend Madeleine Castaing in her new spring-summer womenswear collection. I’d say it’s steampunk style and rock’n’roll spirit (in other words chaos and late 1970’s styles), indeed there are so colorful shades of blue, leopard print, cornflowers, floral wreaths, palm leaves. Models appeared on the stage wearing neoprene biker jackets, chambray dresses, lattice cardigans, studded leather jackets, leopard print bikini tops, indigo denim dresses, leggings, fit-and-flare style party dresses, zippered, brocade jumpsuits printed with forest leaves, lace capes. Overall, it’s a bright collection made for real party women.
Playful and Colorful. During New York Fashion Week Anna Sui presented her new ready to wear collection of womenswear for the next Autumn-Winter fashion season. Here you will find playful prints, quirky elements, youthful designs. Some of light layers reminded me styles of 60's: tweed skirts, large kaftans, owl caps, faux fur coats.
Colorful Cinematic Looks. Anna Sui’s Spring-Summer collection is inspired by by American fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. Models looked like they just came out of a sketchbook page with bold colorful colors, wearing turbans, fitted forties-style dresses wrapped in a marabou chubby, glittery spectator pumps, playsuits with an Art Deco toothbrush prints, cap-sleeve, peplumed, flared-pant outfits, black tulle kimonos floating over silken tap shorts. Overall, collection looks like retro inspired ranging from 40s to 70s silhouettes using feminine sprints and accessories, but the color and the cuts are for modern women.
Chinese-American fashion designer Anna Sui Autumn-Winter collection's colors and prints are bold and fresh. The whole collection can be divided in two poles: a neat little navy shorts suit versus a floating, poppy-printed smock dress.
Anna Sui presents her Resort lookbook, where you can find lots of flowy dresses- long, short and different designs, silk ponchos, blouses, shirt dresses, shorts. I like the colorful prints: zig-zag, floral, fruit and striped.
