Let's welcome dandies in our city, as we are about to view Spring 2016 season from Latvian fashion brand One Wolf. Summer collection is entitled "The Tourist" and it's inspired by the butterfly bow tie, what is an essential accessory in men's evening wardrobe. One Wolf dedicated its work to seven of the world's most significant scientists – butterfly researchers, including Yale University professor Charles Lee Remington (who is considered to the be the father of modern lepidopterology, which is the scientific study of moths and butterflies), Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Berg a.k.a. Carlos Berg (Latvian-born director of the Bernardino Rivadavia Natural Sciences Museum in Buenos Aires), Russian entomologist Andrey Avinoff (who prior to being the director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh was a diplomat in the court of Tsar Nicholas II), and writer Vladimir Nabokov (an aficionado of butterflies).
It's a story about a forever young traveler, an avid researcher of butterflies curiously motivated to fulfill his dream by traveling to the most beautiful corners of the world. Almost every look is done in a "safari" style, combining classics with functionality for creating a voguish and comfortable wardrobe for an elegant tourist. It's fun, sophisticated and relaxed fit. Each piece and accessory reflects historical scientists wardrobe. Outfits are designed using the basic construction of menswear principles. I am so in love with its functionality.
