I'm delighted to share with you incredibly talented Polish menswear London based designer Michał Mrzygłód and his Spring-Summer 2014 collection's lookbook featuring neoprene jackets, deconstructed shirts, hakama-inspired pants. Next season's collection name is 'Chin-suru' and it's about fashion's language. If we translate word or expression “Chin-suru,” then it is a verb translating as “warming up food in a microwave” or simply “a microwave” in modern Japanese slang.
For Michal, “Chin-suru” is a space in which various influences of European and American cultures collide with what is considered traditionally Japanese. Next summer's season comes with complexity and easy-fitted modern wear.
It's a combination of Japanese traditional garments from the Edo period, with something abstract and remote. I like that special Californian surfer and skater subcultures of the 1970's that appear in this collection. Love those modern fabrics, bold colors, surreal palm inspired prints and laser-cut neoprene.
