Contemporary menswear label MATIERE known for its global fabric selection and forwardthinking design aesthetic presented its new Spring-Summer season collection at New York Men’s Day on Monday, July 13th in New York City. The collection's name is "Textured Modernism." The spring season embraces the concept of duality through the use of unexpected materials on modern silhouettes.
What is so special about it? Well, looking through following clothing, I found it both familiar and conceptual, it's like seeing the good old pair of jeans, what are brought back from the future. The fabric selection features both sleek surfaces and touch-me textiles. The textural fabrics and technical details are harmonized together bringing us comfort, innovation and function. The color palette includes crispy white, oceanic blue, indigo, city black, dusted grey hues. Male models appear in modal jersey tees, woven chambray shirts, reworked bomber jackets, anoraks, baseball shirts, etc. Creative Director Jake Zeitlin found a perfect balance of fashion forward apparel what is always approachable and wearable. Tell me, what you think of this?
